The Most Expensive Private Aircraft

Our reaction when we first saw this? We pinched ourselves to make sure we weren’t just imagining things. Not only is this the most expensive private aircraft you’ve ever seen, it’s also infinitely more than many will ever have for a home.
Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud bought this immense plane in 2009 for an estimated $400 million! The aircraft alone cost $300 million, because it’s an Airbus A380, currently the largest passenger airplane in the world. The remaining $100 million covers what Design Q, the luxury transport designer, did to the aircraft.
Believe it or not, the plane has actually got a concert hall, a spa with Turkish bath, a garage, for large luxe suites, twenty first-class seats/beds for extra guests, a “Wellbeing Room” with a transparent floor allowing you to gaze at the scenery beneath, a boardroom with holographic boards that keep the Prince informed about the latest share prices and more, and, unsurprisingly, a prayer room with a system that generates virtual prayer mats that always face Mecca.
All this display of luxury is distributed on three floors, all accessible via a spiral staircase and an elevator. Oh, and the elevator also descends on the tarmac to offer the owner a private entrance. Now did we exaggerate when we described this luxury private aircraft as “unbelievable”?
